Out of everything I’ve done, choosing an image of myself for my website has to be up there with one of the hardest decisions!

Yeah I know crazy right, but ask any photographer which side of the camera they prefer to be, that’s why we’re photographers isn’t it?

But I really don’t like pictures of myself, I’m just as self conscious as the next person. My hair’s not right, I look fat from that angle, two chins, closed eyes, squinting, not smiling, too contrived – oh the list goes on!

But needs must, I have a website soon to go live and I need an image of myself so I told myself

get over it Sally

I handed over to my hubby Sean to take the shots for me, we went to a secret little place that I sometimes use for shoots and Sean stood back with a 200mm lense to get some more relaxed and candid style shots while I played with our son Jack.

Our son Jack is an absolute bundle of energy, so much so that there was no way I could possibly concentrate on Jack AND the fact that I was having my own photos taken, so after a short while I almost forgot I was being photographed, which always makes for a better photo anyway I think.

Here’s a small selection of the some of the images from the day.
